My diploma project at Architecture School was about experiencing the phenomenon of light. I picked Times Square as my site, not because I love the place, but because it is one of the most lit and distracting places in the world. I made a massive black hole underneath Times Square, that was a gigantic pinhole camera. I like pinhole camera photos because it reminds me that photography really is writing with light, and camera obscura is an amazing phenomenon.
